About
My name is Nicolette Raices and I am Licensed Acupuncturist. My journey toward acupuncture began as an undergraduate taking prerequisites for nursing when I started obtaining a series of injuries and health issues. Unhappy with the treatments suggested, I found my way to chiropractic care and acupuncture. I'll admit, the thought of needles made me nervous but I researched it before my treatment and fell in love with the basic philosophy of acupuncture...balance. After my first treatment, I knew this was what I was meant to do.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at National University of Health Sciences outside of Chicago, Illinois. I continued there for my Master's degree in Acupuncture. I had the opportunity to do my internship in the pain clinic at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. I also had the unique opportunity to assist in a clinical trial for smoking secession using acupuncture.
When not in the office, I like to go camping, hiking, fishing and playing mini golf with my husband. Eventually, I would love to hike the Appalachian Trail start to finish.
